Lemonade Life Insurance Pros and Cons
Customer reviews
Positive United of Omaha reviews
- United of Omaha Life Insurance were a great company. I was with them for about 3 years when my husband passed away, they sent me a check right away. However, I don’t know what we would have done without it. Thank you United of Omaha.
- My dad recently passed away and I was absolutely dreading filing the claim for his life insurance policy. Saying it out loud is difficult since it’s still so fresh. About 3 weeks after he passed, I called United of Omaha Life Insurance Company to report the claim and ask what they needed from me to file the claim. They said they only needed to verify his passing and asked who was handling the funeral service. I explained that we have a memorial for him and that he had actually donated his body to science. I suggested they contact the donation center to verify his death. The rep put me on hold, called the donation program and verified his passing. The check was cut and mailed the very next day. I thanked the rep for making a difficult call / process so easy and for being flexible in the death verification process.
- I have their guaranteed whole life. Good policy, great rate. I like the fact that I can manage my policy online. For example, you can update beneficiaries if things change in your life. They also have auto-pay, which is very convenient. If you call in, you can pick the day of the month too. Over time, it might even have some cash value. I think, but I’m not sure.
- fast painless Process during a stressful time they responded immediately kept in correspondence they didn’t need mail in proof of anything photo uploads were good enough and they mailed the check immediately. I was so thankful.
- This is the best Life Insurance Company I have ever had to deal with. When our loved one passed, this Company paid within 2 weeks of his death. No hoops to jump through, and no excuses not to pay the Death Benefit. I give this Company an A+.
Positive United of Omaha Life Insurance reviews part 2
- Their cancer policies are great. Easy to file claim, no claim forms, just call and give info to agent. The agent will verify office visits, surgery, etc. then you will receive a check in the mail. Good customer service. Reasonable cost for coverage.
- I am so proud to say that y’all have the friendliest employees and each month they are nice enough to take time and let me make payment by phone. Whatever you’re doing that makes it so pleasant to talk to one of your agents what you are doing to give great service like you all are doing!
- Excellent customer service. Very few problems since >’ve been on their Medicare Supplemental Insurance Plan G. Use any doctor who accepts Medicare. I’ve had zero out of pocket expenses beyond premium & part B deductible.
- After almost 30 years in the health and life business, I just wanted to say thanks. I have dealt with several Omaha companies throughout the years and it a pleasure doing business with you. Keep up the good work!
- Love the Whole Life Insurance preference to choose from. Love how easy it is to get started and I like how easy it is to pay the bill online every 3 months.
- Mom passed away & I contacted them and had a check within a few days , people that took my call told me first off they were very professional . Thank you United of Omaha Life Insurance.
- I’ve had life insurance with them for over 20 years with no issues.
- Policies are reasonably priced with the most coverage, beats the competitors by far.
- Gave me more then I needed and that is always a plus in my book.
United of Omaha Life Insurance Negative reviews
- I cancelled two policies I had with United of Omaha–a Mutual of Omaha subsidiary. They need, at least, TWO full working days to process a payment. If you increase the face value of your policy this pathetic company will quote upwards of THREE “due dates” within the space of two weeks. The result is a customer does not know, from one day to the next, whether their policy has been DEactivated or REactivated.
- For one of the three “due dates” They give me (by mail) LESS than a one week advance notice to submit a $480.00 payment. Even though I sent my payment by overnight delivery, and said the payment was delivered prior to the “due date,”. The possibly arrogant staff at United of Omaha “sat” on this payment for two full working days. Thus my policy was placed in “deactivated” status. This same policy was REactivated when United of Omaha was “inspired” to post my payment. With the removal of my business (policy cancellations) United of Omaha will need to find someone else to “play games” with.
- My son’s father had a life insurance policy with his employer West Side Transport. The policy was with United of Omaha Life Insurance Company, owned and operated by Mutual of Omaha. My son’s father passed suddenly. We were told at the funeral home the policy was worth 181,000 dollars and was good. A paper from United of Omaha Life faxed to the funeral home. After a few days we were notified that the policy was no good. That there had been a mix up between the employer and the insurance company even though the premiums were being take out of his check each pay.
- This company works with brokers that, tells you I’m looking to see if you approved, and takes your money even before you say ok or choose a plan, an United of Omaha takes 30 days to reimburse you.
- Premiums higher than a Jamaican pilot.
United of Omaha Life Insurance Negative reviews part 2
- I was in the hospital for 10 weeks, just long enough for them to not return what I had paid in…you have to have the policy 2 years before they will pay out the whole policy or they will only hive back what you paid in. Expensive on a retired limited income. Consumer beware!! Insurance companies always have a loophole to benefit themselves.
- We never gave authorization for any auto withdrawal to get life insurance. Cancelled the policy 45 days ago and still haven’t gotten a refund.
- This is the most crooked and confusing insurance company I’ve ever witnessed. They are accepting money on a policy they closed. Not one representative has reached out to me or even reinstated the policy. Either reinstate the policy or give me my money back but you can’t have both!!
- Crooks. Have. 10k policy has been paid as of 6/19 more than half. Will be paid in full 18 years I’m 36 they claim it will not mature until I’m 95. Y’all do the math.
- Horrible company what they pull. I had a policy for my daughter since she was 4. For 28 years I paid faithfully. I just realized I had not gotten a bill for a while. Did some research and found I never received one. Just like that. No bills, no cancellation notice, nothing. They ripped me off for all the years I paid. What did they do to cancel everyone’s policies because of COVID secretly? What a horrible thing to do. Disgraceful company. Will never do business with you again. Shame shame.
- Will continue the collection of premium, even after cancellation. Didn’t refund me after I brought to my attention… Bad business!!
